Al-bayda: The agricultural sector in Al-Bayda Province has initiated a preliminary survey for a veterinary campaign focused on livestock, specifically targeting cattle and goats. This campaign, launched on Monday, aims to address and mitigate livestock diseases in the region.
According to Yemen News Agency, the survey is set to span ten days and will be conducted by 11 field teams from the Ministry of Agriculture, Water Resources, and Fisheries. These teams will be working across various districts to ensure comprehensive coverage and data collection.
During the launch event, Saleh Al-Mansouri, the Governorate's Deputy, highlighted the campaign's critical role in identifying and treating livestock diseases. He emphasized the need for collaboration between local and executive authorities and the field teams to ensure the success of the initiative. Al-Mansouri stressed the importance of reaching livestock breeders and following professional protocols to protect livestock from potentially deadly diseases.
Eng. Mohammed Al-Haidari, an Agricultural Sector Official, provided further insights into the survey's objectives. He stated that the primary goal is to gather samples and perform diagnostic tests for livestock diseases. These efforts will involve taking samples from livestock across the governorate's districts to diagnose and identify diseases for vaccination and implement preventive measures to safeguard livestock health.
