Sa'ada: Activities and events marking the blessed Mawlid al-Nabi (Prophet's Birthday) for the year 1447 AH were launched on Monday in Sa'ada province, with prayers and peace upon him and his family.
According to Yemen News Agency, during the central event held in the governorate's capital, Governor Mohammed Awad emphasized the importance of utilizing this occasion to embody the love for the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his family) and to strengthen the faith-based identity among the Yemeni people. He described it as a great opportunity to reflect on the noble status of the Prophet (PBUH) and his honorable life, which represents a valuable guiding path.
He highlighted the profound connection between the people of Yemen and the Messenger of Allah since the dawn of Islam until today. He pointed out the significance of commemorating this occasion, especially in this critical phase where Jews and Christians are targeting Islam, Muslims, and Islamic sanctities, and where the Yemeni people are engaged in a fierce battle against the leaders of disbelief.
Governor Awad urged government offices, institutions, and the public to take responsibility in enlivening this great occasion by decorating offices, houses, and schools to make this celebration more remarkable than any previous one.
The event was attended by Shura Council member Hadi Al-Hamzi, Secretary-General of the Local Council Mohammed Al-Ammad, several deputies, local authority officials, scholars, academics, and social figures.
Ali Al-Dhahiri, the mobilization forces commander in the governorate, stated that this blessed occasion is linked to the greatest of Allah's creation, the Final Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him and his family).
He explained that faith in the Messenger of Allah entails reverence, honor, and sanctification, which leaves a profound educational impact on souls and practical reality. He affirmed that one of the greatest ways to celebrate is by displaying joy and happiness on this occasion, as it draws one closer to Allah and angers the disbelievers and hypocrites who insult the Prophet (PBUH).
Al-Dhahiri noted that enemies and hypocrites are using all means to portray the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) in a distorted and weak manner, while Allah has presented him in the Quran as a great and wise leader, stern against disbelievers yet merciful to believers-a reality embodied by the Prophet in his life and struggle against polytheists, hypocrites, and Jews.
