Launch of Prophet’s Birthday Football Tournament in Al-Mina District in Hodeidah

Sana'a: The Mawlid al-Nabawi Football Championship kicked off this afternoon in Al-Mina District, Al-Hodeidah Governorate, under the sponsorship of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the governorate leadership, and the Mobilization Division, and supervised by the Office of Youth and Sports.

According to Yemen News Agency, the opening ceremony, which featured the participation of 32 teams competing in a knockout system, began with a recitation of Al-Fatiha for the souls of the nation's Prime Minister, who was recently martyred, his companions, and the martyrs of the ummah. The gesture underscored that the movement continues and the spirit of resistance remains rooted in the hearts of generations until victory is achieved.

In the tournament's first match, held at Omar bin Abdulaziz School field, Friends of Saddam defeated Al-Ansar with a score of 2-1, securing their place in the next round.
