Sana'a: The Mayor of the Capital, Dr. Hamoud Obad, on Tuesday inaugurated the second phase of the asphalt maintenance and rehabilitation project at the Dhahban entrance in Bani Al-Harith District. The project, funded by the local authority at a cost of 70 million riyals, aims to improve infrastructure and ease traffic flow in the area.
According to Yemen News Agency, the second phase of the project is being carried out by the General Corporation for Roads and Bridges. It is supervised by the Public Works and Projects Sector in the Secretariat. The work includes asphalt maintenance and rehabilitation for deteriorated sections spanning a total length of 400 meters and a width of 12 meters.
During the inauguration, the Mayor emphasized the need for intensified efforts and an accelerated pace of work to ensure the project meets technical standards and quality specifications. This initiative is expected to significantly contribute to the facilitation of traffic movement in the district.
The event was attended by the Secretariat's Undersecretaries for the Public Works and Projects Sector, Eng. Abdulkarim Al-Houthi and Ali Al-Lahji, along with several engineers involved in the project.
