Amran: The Office of Youth and Sports in Amran Governorate launched on Thursday sports and cultural activities, along with the distribution of sports tools and equipment, in celebration of the Prophet's Birthday.
According to Yemen News Agency, during the inauguration, the Governorate's Mobilization Official, Sajad Hamzah, highlighted the significance of commemorating the Prophet's Birthday and its importance in the lives of Yemenis. He emphasized the need to mobilize efforts to mark this occasion, which reflects the deep love of the Yemeni people for the Messenger Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him and his family.
He also acknowledged the efforts of the Office of Youth and Sports in initiating sporting activities across districts to raise community awareness and remind people of the greatness of this celebration honoring the birth of the Prophet, peace, and blessings be upon him and his family.
The event was attended by Executive Director of the Cleaning Fund Abbas al-Mutawakkil, Director of Amran District Abdulrahman al-Imad, and Deputy Director of Water Resources Ahmed Jattoum. Acting Director of the Youth Office in the Governorate, Mazen al-Makhadhi, affirmed the office's commitment to marking this occasion through a range of sports and cultural programs.
He explained that the activities will take place in villages, districts, and neighborhoods of Amran City, including a sports marathon, festivals, and youth rallies in solidarity with Gaza, in addition to celebratory evenings for the Prophet's Birthday and participation in organizing the central event on the 12th of Rabi' al-Awwal.
Following the inauguration, sports tools and equipment were handed over to youth directors across the districts to meet the needs of young people and enable their active participation in various cultural and sports events.
