Sanaa: The Summer Activities Subcommittee and the Youth and Sports Office of the Capital Sanaa have initiated the Summer School Football League Championship in the Tahrir District, engaging 900 players from the junior, cadet, and youth categories.
According to Yemen News Agency, the tournament is being held under the slogan "Knowledge and Jihad," and it will follow a group system leading to the semifinals. The primary aim is to encourage physical fitness and general health while fostering a positive, competitive atmosphere among schools.
During the inauguration ceremony, youth and sports officials commended the summer schools for their role in uncovering athletic talent. They highlighted the significance of integrating academic achievement with sports activities to cultivate a strong and unified generation.
This tournament is a component of the summer school activities, designed to utilize youth's time during the summer break through beneficial programs that encourage educational values and teamwork.
