Sanaa: Leader of the Revolution Sayyed Abdul-Malik Badr al-Din al-Houthi on Sunday emphasized that the ongoing crimes in Syria serve as a profound lesson for nations about the brutal reality of Takfiri groups. His statement highlighted the severe threat these groups pose, not only to the direct victims but also to their sponsors.
According to Yemen News Agency, in a speech broadcast by al-Masirah Channel, the Leader delineated the grave implications of the Takfiri groups’ actions in Syria. He warned that the perpetrators and their sponsors could face divine retribution for their deeds. The Leader condemned the groups for their continued acts of brutality against innocent civilians, urging global denouncement and concerted efforts to halt these crimes.
He articulated that the culpability for these atrocities extends beyond the Takfiri groups themselves to their financial, political, and military backers. The Leader cautioned that the repercussions of these crimes will be dire for both the Takfiris and their patrons, highlighting their misplaced confidence in the protection offered by the United States and Europe.
The Leader further explained that the Takfiri groups are engaging in genocidal acts against unarmed Syrian citizens, documenting their crimes and disseminating them via social media. This behavior, he noted, underscores their inhumanity and serves the interests of both Israeli and American agendas by fracturing Syria’s social cohesion.
He remarked that Israel’s declaration of protection for the Druze in Sweida has led Takfiri groups to avoid targeting them, while the United States positions itself as a protector of the Kurds, thereby creating a sense of vulnerability among other Syrian communities lacking such support.
Sayyed Abdul-Malik Badr al-Din al-Houthi highlighted the perception among the wider Syrian populace of being targeted indiscriminately, without any significant objection from the broader Arab and Islamic communities. He criticized the Takfiri groups for their alignment with what he described as “American, Israeli, Zionist, Jewish engineering,” accusing them of distorting Islam and masquerading as religious entities while perpetrating violence.
He underscored the failure of the Takfiri groups to combat Israeli forces, despite their territorial encroachments in southern Syria, portraying the groups as enablers of foreign occupation rather than defenders of the faith. The Leader condemned the regional sponsors of the Takfiris for attempting to rebrand them as legitimate security forces, despite their evident criminality.
Concluding his remarks, the Leader lamented the silence of Arab and Muslim nations in the face of these atrocities, which enables Western powers to position themselves as protectors. He asserted that true Islamic jihad is untainted by the Takfiri groups’ actions, calling into question their legitimacy as religious warriors and urging skeptics to witness the documented evidences of their crimes.
