Dhamar: The Maghreb Anas district in Dhamar province has initiated the Maghreb Anas Multi-Purpose Agricultural Cooperative Association, with the election of its administrative body taking place on Monday. At the founding meeting, Deputy Governor Ali Atif emphasized the role of cooperative societies in advancing the agricultural sector’s productivity, which is anticipated to contribute significantly to enhancing food security and achieving self-sufficiency.
According to Yemen News Agency, the director of the directorate, Ali Al-Kabsi, highlighted the establishment of the Maghreb Anas Cooperative Association as a pivotal development in revitalizing cooperative efforts. The association aims to motivate farmers to increase crop cultivation while ensuring the provision of necessary seeds and agricultural inputs. Al-Kabsi also called upon the newly elected administrative body to devise programs that align with and fulfill the association’s objectives.
