Mahweet: The Cleanliness and Improvement Fund in Mahweet governorate has initiated a field campaign aimed at eliminating stray and rabid dogs throughout the city. This initiative, launched on Tuesday, seeks to address a growing concern among residents about the threat posed by these animals.
According to Yemen News Agency, Abdulkarim Qutaina, who directs the city's sanitation project, reported that field teams successfully removed a significant number of rabid dogs on the first day of the campaign. These animals have been identified as a direct threat to the community, prompting immediate action.
Qutaina highlighted that the campaign is a response to increasing public complaints and forms part of broader preventive measures designed to protect the population. He also noted that the Cleanliness and Improvement Fund regularly conducts operations to manage the stray dog population and ensure public safety.
