Sanaa: A decree issued by the President of the Supreme Political Council, No. (25) for the year 1447 AH, stipulates in its first article the appointment of Major General Yusuf Hassan Ismail al-Madani as Chief of the General Staff.

According to Yemen News Agency, the second article of the decree states that it shall take effect from the date of its issuance and be published in the Official Gazette.
