Kuala Lumpur: Malaysian Prime Minister Dr. Anwar Ibrahim emphasized that the assault on Doha was a violation of international law and an unjustified provocation. He highlighted the gravity of the situation, particularly given Qatar's significant role in mediation efforts.
According to Union of OIC News Agencies, Dr. Anwar Ibrahim, in his remarks at the emergency Arab-Islamic summit, mentioned Qatar's wisdom in fostering dialogue alongside Egypt and the United States. He described the attack as intentional and pointed out the ongoing Israeli aggression, which affects multiple nations. He stressed the extensive destruction in Gaza and the plight of the Palestinian people, who face unprecedented devastation.
The Malaysian Prime Minister also observed that Israel's aggression has reached Lebanon, Syria, Yemen, and Iran, demonstrating a disregard for international norms. He noted Israel's declaration against the formation of a Palestinian state, which he sees as a rejection of UN resolutions regarding Palestinian self-determination.
