Dhamar: Dhamar province undersecretary Mahmoud al-Jubain launched on Wednesday a market and price monitoring campaign as part of the preparations for the upcoming holy month of Ramadan, aimed at enhancing supply stability and protecting consumers.

According to Yemen News Agency, during the launch, al-Jubain reviewed the availability of essential foodstuffs in the markets, as well as the adherence to the price list and the display of prices by vendors. He emphasized the importance of the Ministry of Economy's role in intensifying field monitoring of the markets, regulating prices and weights, and preventing any manipulation or hoarding of basic goods. This initiative is particularly crucial as Ramadan approaches and the demand for food items increases.

Al-Jubain stressed the need for traders to comply with the official price list and to boycott American and Israeli products, along with the companies that support them, highlighting that this reflects national responsibility and aligns with broader policy goals in this regard.

For his part, the Director of the Ministry of Economy in the governorate, Sadiq Al-Jaber, explained that the campaign, which will continue until the end of Ramadan, aims to monitor prices and ensure the proper display of price lists in various shops and markets. He emphasized the Ministry's commitment to intensifying field inspections of goods subject to the boycott, as well as bakeries, and educating citizens about the importance of buying bread by weight to ensure fairness in sales and protect consumer rights.

Al-Jaber pointed out that the Ministry will not tolerate any violations of pricing regulations and will refer offenders to the relevant authorities for legal action. He called on citizens to cooperate with the monitoring teams, report any violations or abuses, and support the efforts being made in this regard.
