Hajjah: Martyr Abu Abdul Team emerged victorious in the Hajjah Ramadan Football Championship, organized by the Hajjah Football Federation under the supervision of the Province's Youth and Sports Office. The team triumphed over the Red Crescent team with a score of 2-1.
According to Yemen News Agency, the decisive goals for Martyr Abu Abdul were netted by Misfer Raziq and Mohammed Mabrouk, while the Red Crescent team's lone goal came from Hashem Dokal. The match was overseen by referee Ahmed Atbah, assisted by Abdullah al-Shater and Khaled al-Awami, with Khaled al-Shaghdari serving as the fourth referee. The victory marked the culmination of the championship for the Abu Abdul team.
In the junior category, al-Sumoud team claimed the championship cup, narrowly defeating the Red Crescent team with a goal by junior player Tariq Muslimani.
Murad Shali, Director of the Youth and Sports Office in the province, lauded the high standards exhibited in both the adult and junior tournaments. He noted the competitive spirit of the participating teams, which led to the discovery of promising players deserving of full support.
Shali also acknowledged the collaborative efforts that contributed to the tournament's success and stressed the importance of organizing such events to promote the sports sector in the province, which is rich in talent.
Following the match, Director Shali and Muhammad Salba, Chairman of Al-Nasr Sports Club, honored the champions of both the adult and junior categories, the runners-up, and the outstanding players.
