Dhamar: The competitions of the tenth annual Ramadan football championship for the Martyr Mohammed Abdulkarim Al-Ghamari Cup kicked off today in Dhamar Governorate. The tournament is organized by the Youth and Sports Office in the governorate in cooperation with Al-Riyadah International Hospital, featuring 15 teams divided into four groups.
According to Yemen News Agency, the first group includes the teams of Al-Ma'mun Agency for Agricultural Marketing, Alam Al-Jazeera, and Martyr Al-Ya'ari. The second group comprises Dadiyah Exchange, Friends of Al-Suwaidi, and Shabab Warqah. The third group includes Alam Al-Riyadah, Al-Salehi Agency, and Al-Qadisiyah. The fourth group consists of Al-Ard Al-Khalidah, Nasr Talhama, and Shabab Rakhma, while the fifth group includes Al-Qal'ah Al-Khadra', Salam Ma'bar, and Al-Saqr.
In the opening match, the defending champion, Al-Ma'mun Agency for Agricultural Marketing, succeeded in making an ideal start by defeating Alam Al-Jazeera with a clean three-goal victory. Player Abdulrahman Al-Shami received the Best Player of the Match award, presented by Al-Riyadah International Hospital.
