Al-Hodeida: The office of the General Authority for Endowments in Hodeida province concluded the activities of the Ramadan Qur'anic competition for the year 1446 AH, with the participation of 100 male and female memorizers from different districts of the province.
According to Yemen News Agency, the closing ceremony honored the winners in the various categories of the competition, which lasted for a week. Participants competed in the category of the entire Qur'an, undergoing qualifications based on strict arbitration criteria, with 84 passing the entrance tests.
At the conclusion of the competition, Deputy Governor Ahmed Al-Bishri praised the level of competition, emphasizing that the annual event reflects Yemeni society's adherence to the Holy Qur'an as a way of life. He highlighted its role in preparing a generation fortified with faith-based values.
Sheikh Ali Adabi, Vice President of Dar Al Uloom Sharia University, commended the contestants' high level, noting the community's interest in memorizing the Book of Allah. He called for continued support for initiatives that contribute to graduating a generation aware and adherent to religious teachings.
He also underscored the importance of the competition in fostering positive competition among young people, supporting Qur'an memorization, and providing an environment for them to be future leaders in promoting correct Islamic values.
