Al-bayda: The Martyr Minister Dr. Mohammed Al-Mawalid Football League has begun in Al-Bayda, featuring 16 youth teams comprising club members, school students, and amateurs. The league is organized by a prominent group of local youth and athletes, in collaboration with the Youth and Sports Office of Al-Bayda.
According to Yemen News Agency, Ali Al-Abous, Director of the Youth and Sports Office, stressed the significance of holding this league in honor of martyr Dr. Muhammad Al-Mawlid, aligning with national celebrations of the October 14 Revolution. The league serves to educate young people on the importance of liberation and nation-building.
Al-Abous urged the expansion of sports and cultural activities due to their role in developing the talents and skills of young people, both physically and intellectually, while also strengthening their identity. He emphasized the need to adhere to guidelines and uphold sportsmanship to ensure the league's success.
He commended the efforts of Al-Adl Stadium, the organizing committee, and all participating youth for their dedication to the league, as well as the support from sports fans who attended the opening ceremony.
Captain Ahmed Al-Qarad, Chairman of the League Organizing Committee, noted that the 16 teams were divided into four groups for the competition.
