Sanaa: The Martyr of the Qur’an Schools in the capital and the General Administration of Secondary Schools for Sharia Sciences commemorated the martyred leader Sayyed Hussein Badr al-Din al-Houthi under the slogan ‘Martyr of the Qur’an’. The event featured speeches and cultural activities attended by the Minister of Education Hassan al-Saadi, the First Deputy Secretary of the Capital Secretariat Khalid al-Madani, and several scholars and officials.
According to Yemen News Agency, Sheikh Fouad Naji, a member of the Yemeni Scholars Association, highlighted the importance of drawing lessons from the sacrifices made by the martyred leader and his Qur’anic project. He discussed how the project confronted global forces and their colonial agendas, particularly in the context of normalization with the Zionist enemy and the silence of Arab populations. Naji emphasized that the martyr leader had early on exposed conspiracies targeting generations through soft wars and offered solutions derived from the Holy Qur’an to address them.
Naji also commended the efforts of the Martyr of the Qur’an Schools in promoting faith identity and virtuous values among young generations. He urged adherence to the martyred leader’s approach in order to strengthen faith identity and counter the intellectual and cultural threats faced by youth today.
The commemoration included honoring the family of the martyred leader, along with poetry recitations, chanting segments, and various performances that celebrated the significance of the Qur’anic project and the movement led by the martyred leader.
