Sana'a: The General Authority for the Care of Martyrs' Families launched a school bag and supplies project today, aimed at benefiting children of martyrs and the missing across the Capital Secretariat and various governorates, with a financial commitment of 280 million riyals.
According to Yemen News Agency, the project is set to support 43,000 male and female students who are children of martyrs and the missing in Sana'a and the free governorates. During the launch event, Yemen's Mufti, Allama Shams al-Din Sharaf al-Din, emphasized the responsibility of caring for these children, acknowledging the ultimate sacrifices made by their fathers for the nation and the divine.
Highlighting the significance of loyalty to martyrs through the education of their children, Allama Sharaf al-Din commended the attention given by Revolution Leader Sayyed Abdulmalik Badr al-Din al-Houthi, noting the establishment of the Authority to improve the living conditions of martyrs' families. He acknowledged the Authority's efforts alongside the Ministry of Education and Scientific Research in supporting educational pursuits, urging the children to value the care they receive and contribute positively to society.
Hussein Al-Qadi, Deputy Head of the Care Sector at the Authority, elaborated that the project reflects the dedication of the revolutionary and political leadership towards the educational continuity for these children, positioning them as future contributors to Yemen's development. He stressed that the initiative conveys loyalty to martyrs and fosters an adequate educational atmosphere through quality school supplies, underscoring the collective societal responsibility to support the Authority's mission.
The launch ceremony was attended by prominent figures including the Head of the Land Authority, Ibrahim Al-Mutawakkil, Deputy Head of the Martyrs' Families Care Authority, Saleh Hamza, and First Deputy Secretary of the Capital Secretariat, Khaled Al-Madani. A presentation detailed the project's components and phases, complemented by a choral performance by students from the Orphans School.
