Al mahweet: A mass rally was held on Thursday in the districts of Al-Rujm, Al-Madina, and Jabal Al Mahweet of Al Mahweet province marking the martyrdom of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him).
According to Yemen News Agency, participants at the rally raised slogans reaffirming their adherence to Imam Hussein's legacy and expressed opposition to what they described as Zionist and colonial projects targeting the Islamic world. The rally emphasized the Palestinian cause as the central issue, affirming continued support for the Palestinian people and their right to resist.
During the event, participants stated that the commemoration of Ashura serves as a renewal of commitment to religious values and the principles associated with Imam Hussein and his Ahl al-Bayt tradition. They highlighted the importance of supporting truth and opposing falsehood, drawing inspiration from Imam Hussein's legacy, which emphasizes values such as dignity, resilience, and steadfastness. These values are seen as essential in responding to regional conflicts and political tensions, including the situation in Palestine.
