Taiz: Thousands of people across Taiz Province took part on Friday in large rallies held in 100 squares as part of the 'Warning and Mobilization Friday,' expressing support for the choices of the revolutionary leadership and the Yemeni Armed Forces, and rejecting aggression and siege.
According to Yemen News Agency, participants in the squares of the Great Prophet Square in the provincial center and several districts affirmed their full authorization of the revolutionary and political leadership to take deterrent measures and implement them through the armed forces on land and sea, in pursuit of what they described as legitimate humanitarian rights, including the payment of salaries from oil and gas revenues and the reopening of airports and ports without restrictions.
The crowds stressed that the era of silence had ended, saying the Yemeni people would not accept continued delays over humanitarian issues. They warned Saudi Arabia against being drawn into a new escalation serving US plans, asserting that attempts to involve Riyadh in support of Israel would fail.
The participants praised the escalating military operations by the Yemeni Armed Forces, saying they had established deterrence equations against adversaries by land and sea. They renewed their support for leadership measures aimed at protecting national sovereignty, confronting economic warfare, and supporting the Palestinian people and resistance in Gaza.
In a statement issued during the rally and read by Taiz Acting Governor Ahmed Al-Masawi, the gathering was described as a stand against submission and domination by what it called the forces of the United States, Israel, Britain, and their regional allies.
The statement said the Yemeni people would not accept their needs remaining under siege and external decisions, stressing their readiness to make sacrifices in defense of sovereignty.
It renewed full authorization for the leader to take necessary decisions to break the blockade and recover national resources, asserting that Yemen would not accept submission to its adversaries and their allies.
The statement also praised Iran's role in sending civilian aircraft to help break the blockade and transport patients, wounded people, and stranded citizens, describing the move as consistent with Iran's support for oppressed peoples and Palestine.
It reaffirmed Yemen's position on the Palestinian cause and Al-Aqsa Mosque, and its support for the resistance movement.
