Sana'a: Sana'a University on Wednesday witnessed a massive rally of students and faculty in solidarity with Gaza and in condemnation of the ongoing crimes of killing and starvation committed by the Zionist entity against the people of Gaza, under the slogan 'Steadfast with Gaza, and Rejecting Zionist Aggression.'

According to Yemen News Agency, participants in the rally-including University President Dr. Mohammed al-Bukhaiti, his deputies, directors of research centers, deans of faculties, the Secretary General of the University, along with faculty members, staff, and students-raised the Yemeni and Palestinian flags, chanting slogans denouncing the genocidal massacres perpetrated by the Zionist enemy against Gaza, carried out with U.S. and Western support, amid Arab and Islamic silence.

The student crowds condemned the continued complacency and silence of Arab and Islamic regimes in the face of what they described as the 'crime of the century' against the Palestinian people in Gaza, stressing their determination to maintain weekly rallies to affirm their principled stance in supporting Palestine and readiness to join the battle of the 'Promised Liberation and Sacred Jihad' alongside the resistance in Gaza.

The rally statement, read by Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education for the Basic Education Sector Hadi Ammar, denounced the Israeli attack on the headquarters of the Palestinian negotiating delegation in Doha, reaffirming support for Hamas and all Palestinian factions.

It reiterated Yemen's firm and unwavering position in supporting Gaza and all of Palestine, stressing that standing with Gaza is a religious, moral, and humanitarian duty, and not a temporary reaction.

The statement warned that the crimes of killing and starvation committed by the Zionist entity with American weapons, Western backing, and Arab and Islamic complicity represent a historic crime, rivaled only by the crime of remaining silent, adding that those who fail to act will soon regret it.

The faculty and students praised Yemen's unprecedented mobilization in commemorating the Prophet's Birthday, which they said reflected Yemenis' deep commitment to the causes of the nation and their conscious adherence to the Prophet's path.

The statement also praised the operations of the Palestinian resistance in Jerusalem and Gaza that exposed the enemy's weakness, as well as Yemeni Armed Forces' operations that targeted the enemy, disrupted its defenses, and inflicted heavy losses.

It emphasized that such operations exert major political, economic, security, and social pressure on the enemy, forcing it into a constant state of anxiety and even to hold meetings in fortified underground shelters. The statement expressed full support for the Yemeni Armed Forces in all their escalatory steps against the Zionist occupier.

The participants appealed to academics, students, and educational communities across the Arab and Islamic world, as well as to all free people of conscience worldwide, to take honorable and practical steps to break the silence and reclaim their humanity.
