Al-sawadiyah: The residents of the districts of Al-Sawadiyah, Radman, Al-Malajim, Al-Taffah, Nu'man, Nati', and Al-Wahbiyah in Al-Bayda Governorate organized a massive popular rally today commemorating the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him).
According to Yemen News Agency, the participants chanted slogans expressing the suffering of Imam Hussein and affirming their commitment to follow his path in confronting the forces of injustice and tyranny and in supporting the causes of the nation.
During the rally, Governor Abdullah Idris emphasized the importance of commemorating Ashura to understand the suffering of Imam Hussein and to draw lessons from this painful occasion. He explained that commemorating this occasion stems from the responsibility to strengthen the faith identity of the Yemeni people, who are confronting the tyrants of the age-America, the Zionist entity, and those who have allied with them from among the Arab puppets.
He noted that this commemoration is a spiritual and mobilizational station to draw upon the values of patience, steadfastness in truth, confronting falsehood, and rejecting humiliation and submission to the enemies of the nation, correcting its reality, and strengthening its resilience against the forces of global evil. The Governor of Al-Bayda pointed to the significance of the historical events and revolutionary motivations behind Imam Hussein's uprising, his great deeds, and his role in confronting tyrants and the arrogant.
For his part, the Mobilization Officer for the Central Region, Abdulmalik Al-Saqqaf, reviewed aspects of the Ashura tragedy and the suffering endured by Imam Hussein, which he likened to the suffering of the Yemeni people due to the aggression and siege over more than a decade, amid reprehensible international silence. He stated that Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) embodied the highest meanings of patience, reform, and sacrifice for principles and values, pointing out that the nation today is more in need than ever of drawing lessons from his revolution and following his path in confronting injustice and tyranny.
The rally, attended by the Deputy Governor, Dr. Ahmed Al-Shaibah, the Governorate's Security Director, Brigadier General Ahmed Al-Sharafi, and a number of local, executive, and mobilization leaders and social figures, featured poetic recitations expressing the greatness of the occasion.
