Ibb: Ibb Governorate witnessed large-scale public rallies on Sunday in the central square of the governorate and across its districts, in solidarity with the Iranian people and in condemnation of what participants described as brutal U.S.-Zionist aggression.
According to Yemen News Agency, participants in the rallies, led in Al-Rasoul Al-Azam Square in Ibb city by Governor Abdulwahid Salah, members of the House of Representatives and Shura Council, the official in charge of general mobilization, and deputy governors, affirmed that this mass turnout reflects the values of Islamic brotherhood and rejection of the U.S.-Zionist aggression against the Islamic Republic of Iran. They stated that the rallies embody the moral and solidarity-based stance of the free Yemeni people and their revolutionary leadership alongside the Islamic Republic, declared readiness for any developments and preparedness to engage in various activities.
The participants condemned the treacherous U.S.-Zionist aggression against the Islamic Republic of Iran, considering it a dangerous escalation that undermines political solutions and threatens regional security and stability. They stressed that the attack falls within a systematic aggressive policy aimed at subjugating the countries of the region and controlling their resources, in clear violation of the principles of national sovereignty and the right of peoples to self-determination.
Participants further stated that the aggression constitutes a blatant breach of international law and United Nations conventions, reflecting deliberate disregard for international will and legal legitimacy. They pointed out that targeting Iran is linked to its firm stance in support of the Palestinian cause and its rejection of normalization and hegemonic projects, describing the attack as political punishment for its principled positions. They expressed full solidarity with Iran’s leadership and people, commending its role in supporting the causes of the nation, foremost among them the Palestinian cause.
The statement issued by the rallies also condemned what it described as the heinous crime of targeting the prominent Islamic leader and global symbol, the martyred scholar Sayyed Ali Khamenei, declaring comprehensive readiness for any developments. The statement extended deepest condolences and sincere sympathies to the dear Muslim Iranian people and to the entire Islamic nation over the martyrdom of the leader of the Iranian Islamic Revolution, Sayyed Ali Khamenei, describing him as a symbol of steadfastness in upholding truth, who proved the sincerity of his positions with his blood, never surrendering to enemies or compromising, and remaining steadfast and dignified until his passing.
It affirmed confidence in the strength and resilience of the Iranian people and the Islamic system, stating that from the first moments of the incident it demonstrated the highest levels of cohesion and efficiency, as reflected-according to the statement-in a military response that exceeded expectations and was carried out firmly and without confusion, indicating that Iran’s system and people are stronger and more resilient than their enemies assume.
The statement strongly condemned what it described as the criminal and brazen aggression against the brotherly Iranian Muslim people, considering it an attack against the entire nation without any legitimate justification. It added that confronting and repelling the aggression is a duty upon all sons of the nation, as the stated objective of the aggression-according to what it described as enemy leaders’ declarations-is to reshape the region and impose what is termed ‘Greater Israel’ by eliminating the Islamic Republic of Iran and resistance forces in the region, followed by dismantling other regional states and armies.
The statement expressed pride in what it described as the strength, speed, and effectiveness of the Iranian response, asserting that free peoples, through reliance on Allah and preparation of available means of strength, are capable of building themselves and confronting enemies regardless of their capabilities. It also stated that the peoples of the region view the American presence and military bases as a source of harm, serving the Zionist enemy and threatening regional security, claiming their purpose is to violate countries’ sovereignty and subjugate peoples.
The statement concluded by affirming what it described as Iran’s natural right to target those bases, calling on the peoples of the region to remain aware of the risks and challenges, to confront them with determination and steadfastness.
