Al-hodeidah: The management of the fish landing center in the coastal area of Ibn Abbas, Al-Munirah District, Al-Hodeidah Governorate, organized a cultural evening and maritime carnival to commemorate the birth anniversary of Prophet Mohammed. The event was held in partnership with the Coast Guard, Naval Forces mobilization units, and the Tihama Coast Fishermen's Association.
According to Yemen News Agency, the occasion was graced by the presence of Al-Hodeidah Governor Abdullah Ateifi, Deputy Governor for the Northern Districts Ghalib Hamza, and Fisheries Authority Chairman Hussein Al-Attas. During the event, Northern Axis Commander Major General Fadel Al-Dhayani underscored the significance of commemorating the event and adopting the religious and moral values from the life of Prophet Mohammed to confront challenges facing the nation. He called for a return to the Prophet's guidance, emphasizing the importance of upholding his values and principles while raising awareness about conspiracies targeting the nation's identity.
Al-Munirah District Director Abdulilah Al-Ahdal expressed that celebrating the Prophet's birth anniversary demonstrates the attachment of Yemenis to Prophet Mohammed and his family. He highlighted that these celebrations are deeply rooted in Yemeni society and continue the traditions of their ancestors. Aziz Ateini, Director General of Ports and Centers at the Red Sea Fisheries Authority, emphasized the role of maritime activities in promoting cultural awareness and connecting fishing communities with the life and values of the Prophet.
The evening featured a poem, a chanting operetta, and other performances that highlighted the occasion's significance. Attendees included Ibn Abbas Fish Center Director Eyad Ateini, Tihama Coast Association Chairman Mohammed Najeeb, and various official and community figures. The maritime carnival followed, with fishing boats adorned with lights and flags sailing along the Ibn Abbas coast, creating a stunning display of light and showcasing the community's celebration of the Prophet's birth anniversary. The event celebrated Yemen's maritime heritage and expressed the fishermen's joy on this important occasion.
