Mawlid Celebrations Held in Shu’ub District of Capital Sana’a

Sana'a: The Capital Sana'a witnessed a series of gatherings and cultural activities marking the anniversary of the Prophet Muhammad's birth.

According to Yemen News Agency, residents of several neighborhoods organized Mawlid evenings and cultural seminars at local mosques. The events were attended by Shura Council members, local officials, scholars, community leaders, and social figures.

Speakers described the Prophet's birthday as an opportunity to draw lessons from his life and follow his example in addressing the challenges facing the Muslim nation. They emphasized adherence to his teachings, support for the oppressed, the promotion of justice, goodness, solidarity, and social cohesion.

The gatherings also featured poems, religious chants, and other activities celebrating the occasion.

A central seminar at Al-Furqan Mosque discussed the status and virtues of the Prophet Muhammad and the importance of following his noble character and biography. Cultural activist Osama Al-Mahthouri stressed the need to use the occasion to strengthen awareness of the Prophet's message and promote noble Muhammadan values in everyday life.
