Ibb: The Supreme Committee for Admission and Registration at Ibb University, in its first meeting for the academic year 1448 AH, chaired by the University President Dr. Nasr Al-Hajili, discussed the progress of the admission and registration process for the academic year 1448 AH.
According to Yemen News Agency, the meeting was attended by the Vice Presidents for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research, Dr. Fouad Hassan, and for Student Affairs, Dr. Ahmed Abu Lohum, along with his assistant Dr. Adel Al-Warafi, and the Assistant Secretary-General Nabil Al-Warafi. They addressed the measures taken to ensure the regularity of the educational process in accordance with the unified academic calendar and the approved academic regulations and controls.
The attendees reviewed admission requests submitted by a number of entities and discussed ways to process them according to the relevant standards and regulations. The Supreme Committee urged graduates of the general secondary school for this year and previous years to expedite the completion of enrollment procedures for available specializations. They emphasized the importance of utilizing the announced timeframe for coordination and admission before it ends and complying with the required documents and procedures.
The meeting approved several measures related to admission and registration requests, contributing to the orderly completion of the process and ensuring the smooth flow of academic and administrative procedures for the new academic year. The University President affirmed that the success of the admission and registration process reflects the development the university is witnessing in organizing its academic and administrative procedures. This success is attributed to efforts made in developing electronic systems and improving the level of services provided to students and applicants.
Dr. Al-Hajili highlighted that the network connectivity between the university's systems and the automation of student data have contributed to providing an up-to-date and accurate electronic database. This allows for tracking the student's academic journey from enrollment to graduation, facilitating decision-making and follow-up on various stages of the educational process efficiently and quickly. He urged the relevant committees to continue developing admission and registration mechanisms, facilitating procedures for students, ensuring transparency and fairness in comparison and admission, and enhancing the utilization of electronic systems to provide more efficient university services, while emphasizing the importance of adhering to the academic regulations and standards governing the process.
