Sanaa: A meeting chaired by Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Local Administration and Rural Development, Mohammed Al-Madani, discussed today ways and mechanisms to enhance developmental and cooperative work and improve the level of coordination between official entities and the community.
According to Yemen News Agency, the meeting, attended by the Deputy Minister of Local Administration and Rural Development, Nasser Al-Mahdar, and a number of assistants from the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Water Resources, as well as representatives of agricultural cooperative associations, addressed the importance of encouraging cooperative initiatives to implement developmental and service projects, especially in the field of rainwater harvesting and other agricultural aspects, to enhance food security.
During the meeting, the Deputy Prime Minister emphasized the importance of activating the role of agricultural associations as active partners in the development process, stressing the need to involve them more broadly in field programs to serve citizens and meet their needs.
He urged directing efforts to the field by enhancing agricultural and developmental activities in districts and governorates and optimally benefiting from the rainy season by supporting and expanding community initiatives.
The meeting also discussed preparations for celebrating the events of the Prophet's Birthday, emphasizing the need for official and popular mobilization for central and subsidiary events worthy of the occasion's greatness.
