Al-bayda: A meeting in Al-Bayda province, chaired by Governor Abdullah Idris, discussed on Sunday the preparation of an analytical study aimed at developing and strengthening the financial resources of the province's administrative units.
According to Yemen News Agency, the meeting reviewed the field visit plan of the committee assigned by the Ministry of Local Administration and Rural Development, as well as ways to enhance financial resources based on the findings of the analytical studies.
It also reviewed a report presented by the committee head, Mohammed Al-Samawi, on the field visits, which come in implementation of the directives of the revolution leader and the instructions of the Presidential Leadership Council to strengthen and develop the resources of local authorities. The meeting was attended by committee members Hamza Al-Sayyad and Mohammed Fazea, along with directors of relevant executive offices in the province.
The participants emphasized that the committee's task is to prepare a field-based analytical study to assess the resources of the local authority, classify them, and work on reforming the current situation by reconsidering, canceling, or merging some revenue streams, benefiting from the expertise of qualified local specialists.
During the meeting, Governor Idris stressed the importance of the local authority leadership's commitment to ensuring the success of the committee's mission, enhancing revenue development, regulating collection procedures, and monitoring their deposit. He noted that revenue development requires serious coordination between local and central efforts, alongside practical solutions to obstacles, to improve and increase local authority resources.
He also underlined the importance of translating the revolutionary and political leadership's directives, the Government of Change and Construction's program, into practical reality through the development of plans and executive programs that contribute to revitalizing efforts and improving developmental and service performance across various sectors.
