Meeting in Al-Bayda Focuses on Enhancing Land Authority Branch Operations

Al-bayda: A meeting held today, chaired by Al-Bayda Governor Abdullah Idris and Chairman of the General Authority for Land, Survey, and Urban Planning Ibrahim al-Mansour, discussed the status and performance of the Authority's branch in the governorate.

According to Yemen News Agency, the meeting addressed the challenges facing the branch, most notably the surveying and inventory of state lands, as well as the shortage of transport vehicles needed for field inspection missions. The participants approved the formation of a surveying team to conduct field visits for fixing triangulation points and to take steps to overcome obstacles and enhance performance.

Governor Idris stressed the importance of improving services at the branch and streamlining procedures, urging intensified efforts to facilitate citizens' transactions. He also highlighted the local authority's role in protecting state property, calling for a review of the state's share of elevated lands, given that most of these areas are privately owned by citizens.

For his part, al-Mansour praised the branch's efforts in protecting and documenting state lands, emphasizing the need to evaluate performance and prevent construction on planned plots. He directed that an electronic copy of the governorate's plans be delivered to the local branch for verification and reporting, in addition to providing it with the necessary equipment.
