Meeting in Hajjah Focuses on Community Initiatives and Agricultural Empowerment Projects

Hajjah: An expanded meeting held on Monday in the Mabyan District of Hajjah Governorate, chaired by Governor Hilal Al-Sufi, discussed aspects related to activating community initiatives, mobilizing membership in agricultural associations, and implementing economic empowerment projects.

According to Yemen News Agency, the meeting, which included the governorate's mobilization official Hammoud Al-Maghribi, Deputy Governor Ahmed Al-Akhfash, District Director Mansour Hamza, along with executive and mobilization leaders, reviewed ways to strengthen community partnership and continue development efforts. It emphasized the importance of joining cooperative agricultural associations, activating their roles and tasks to ensure the advancement of the agricultural sector and the promotion of development work.

The meeting also stressed the need to implement community initiatives, contribute to construction and development processes, and strengthen resilience in confronting aggression and thwarting its plans. During the meeting, Governor Al-Sufi reviewed the measures taken by the governorate to implement development and service projects despite limited resources, as well as the role of the community in supporting official efforts in construction, development, and countering hostile plans.

Governor Al-Sufi highlighted the importance of expanding the cultivation of crops for which Mabyan and other districts in the governorate are known, boosting local production, and pursuing agriculture to achieve self-sufficiency while enhancing the implementation of community initiatives. He pointed to the role of all members of society in encouraging individuals to establish and join agricultural associations, expand their activities, and increase contributors to ensure the sustainability of development projects and improve services for citizens.

The Governor of Hajjah affirmed the local authority's commitment to implementing urgent projects according to available resources, stressing the importance of unifying efforts and mobilizing capacities to achieve desired goals. Deputy Governor Al-Akhfash reviewed successful models from several agricultural associations in the governorate that have become exemplary in development and described multi-purpose cooperative agricultural associations as a gateway to advancing the agricultural sector and implementing economic empowerment and development projects.

Meanwhile, the District Director highlighted the importance of turning toward agriculture and supporting state efforts in this field, considering agriculture one of the pillars of victory, and stressed the need to activate community partnership and empowerment programs.
