Hodeidah: A meeting held on Tuesday in Hodeidah Governorate, chaired by Governor Abdullah Atefi, discussed the matrix of service interventions and the plan prepared for the upcoming Eid al-Fitr holiday.
According to Yemen News Agency, the meeting included Deputy Governors Mohammed Hulaissi and Amer Mathna, Deputy Director of Security Sari Al-Maghribi, as well as heads of executive offices, authorities, and government institutions. They reviewed the level of readiness in service sectors and mechanisms for joint coordination to ensure the stability of services and meet citizens' needs during the Eid days.
Discussions also addressed operational and field plans of the health, cleaning, tourism, media, roads, water, electricity, and traffic offices, in addition to the Coast Guard forces. These discussions aimed at raising preparedness to secure basic services for citizens, visitors arriving in the governorate, and organizing traffic movement at entrances, main streets, and coastal parks.
Governor Atefi stressed the importance of raising the level of readiness across all service offices and agencies and strengthening coordination to implement the intervention matrix in line with the emergency plan. This aims to contribute to improving services and meeting citizens' needs during Eid al-Fitr.
He emphasized the need for all concerned authorities to fulfill their responsibilities and work in a spirit of teamwork to ensure the continuity of services and address any emergency issues promptly.
Participants also approved the program of Eid visits to fighters stationed on the frontlines. They discussed ongoing preparations for launching summer courses and ways to provide the necessary resources to ensure their success, aiming to protect youth and develop their scientific and cultural skills.
The meeting concluded with several recommendations and measures aimed at enhancing readiness and strengthening coordination among relevant authorities during the Eid al-Fitr holiday.
