Meeting in Sana’a Discusses Cooperation Between Ministries of Electricity, Water, Health, & Environment

Sana'a: A meeting in Sana'a, chaired by Deputy Minister of Electricity and Energy and Water, Adel Bader, and Deputy Minister of Health and Environment, Dr. Naqash Al-Qu'ud, discussed mechanisms to enhance cooperation and partnership in the fields of water, environment, and electricity.

According to Yemen News Agency, the meeting was attended by several key officials, including Chairman of the Rural Electricity Authority Eng. Abdul-Jabbar Al-Shami, Director of the General Corporation for Electrical Industries Abdulghani Al-Madani, and Head of the Environmental Protection Authority Mohammed Amer. The officials reviewed strategies to strengthen efforts to combat diseases and epidemics caused by water pollution and to leverage donor funding to provide essential services that meet the citizens' needs.

Participants also focused on the activities and tasks of water-related institutions within the ongoing national efforts to combat acute watery diarrhea. The joint efforts of both ministries in this regard were a critical point of discussion.

Bader and Al-Qu'ud emphasized the importance of unifying efforts to address current challenges, especially given the aggression and blockade and their impacts on the health, water, and environmental sectors.

The meeting also included the participation of Director of the Urban Cities Unit Mohammed Al-Shami and Director of the Water and Environmental Sanitation Emergency Unit Abdulkarim Al-Akhram.
