Meeting of Rural Electricity Board Chaired by Minister of Electricity & Energy

Sana'a: The Board of Directors of the Rural Electricity Authority convened a meeting today, presided over by Minister of Electricity, Energy, and Water, Dr. Ali Saif, to deliberate on the authority's strategic plan for the year 1447 AH.

According to Yemen News Agency, the meeting was attended by several key figures including Deputy Minister Adel Bader, Board Chairman Eng. Abduljabbar Al-Shami, board member Mohammed Al-Sanahani, Finance Ministry representative Mohammed Al-Atmi, private sector representative Ahmed Zabara, and NGO representative Dr. Angela Abu Asbaa. The board took the opportunity to assess the performance of projects that were undertaken during 1446 AH, and also discussed the various operational challenges and potential measures to address these issues.

A significant part of the meeting involved reviewing projects that were implemented with the support of the UN Office for Project Services (UNOPS). The board aimed to prioritize target areas and focused on enhancing the administrative, financial, and technical facets of the council's operations.

The assembly underscored the critical importance of boosting the Rural Electricity Authority's performance to navigate the current difficulties posed by ongoing aggression and blockades. Emphasis was placed on the necessity of shared responsibility to strengthen the council's capacity in delivering improved services to the community.
