Sana’a: A memorial event was organized at the People’s Mosque in Sana’a to honor the martyrs Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah and Sayyed Hashim Safi al-Din, attended by official and popular attendees.
According to Yemen News Agency, the event saw the participation of members of the Supreme Political Council, including Mohammed Ali al-Houthi, Sultan al-Samai, and Dr. Abdulaziz bin Habtoor. It began with condolences conveyed on behalf of Field Marshal Mahdi Mohammed al-Mashat, President of the Supreme Political Council, to the leader of the revolution, Sayyed Abdulmalik Badr al-Din al-Houthi, Hezbollah, its Secretary-General Sheikh Naim Qasem, and the Arab and Islamic nations.
Dr. Bin Habtoor addressed the occasion, highlighting the legacy of martyr Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah and his sacrifices for his nation and religion. He emphasized Sayyed Nasrallah’s solidarity with Yemen since the start of the aggression against the country. Dr. Habtoor noted Nasrallah’s enduring legacy despite attempts on his life, including a strike involving 83 tons of weapons. He reassured that Nasrallah’s spirit continues to inspire the nation, with his teachings remembered with respect and pride.
The Supreme Political Council member reaffirmed Yemen’s commitment to supporting Palestine’s liberation and its solidarity with the axis of resistance against Zionist forces and broader regional conspiracies.
Prime Minister Ahmed al-Rahawi expressed Yemen’s admiration and gratitude toward Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah for his support. He recalled Nasrallah’s bold positions during the July victory and his contributions to the Palestinian cause. Al-Rahawi concluded with prayers for the martyrs and sought divine rewards for their sacrifices.
Capital Mayor Dr. Hammoud Ubad emphasized Nasrallah’s leadership, describing him as a luminary dedicated to Islam and jihad. Ubad highlighted the strong bonds of solidarity forged through Nasrallah’s support for Yemen’s struggles and recalled his courageous stance for Yemen amidst global silence.
Member of Ansarullah’s political bureau Dhaifullah al-Shami reflected on Nasrallah’s influence, noting his legacy of hope and inspiration. He quoted Nasrallah’s declaration on the transition from defeats to victories and reiterated their commitment to resistance in loyalty to Nasrallah’s leadership.
Fouad Naji, a member of the Supreme Council of the Association of Yemeni Scholars, praised Nasrallah as a leader in Lebanon’s liberation and a vocal opponent of aggression on Yemen. He emphasized that Nasrallah’s martyrdom would strengthen the resistance movement and serve as a symbol of dignity and sacrifice.
Naji concluded by stating that the blood of martyrs like Nasrallah’s would fuel the struggle for justice, leading to greater resilience and victory. He stressed that Nasrallah’s life and martyrdom would guide pride, honor, and commitment to the cause.
