Merger Committee Evaluates Progress at Customs Authority

Sana’a: The Merger Committee in the Customs Authority convened to discuss the progress of the merger efforts within the authority, under the leadership of Engineer Adel Merghem, the head of the authority, on Sunday.

According to Yemen News Agency, the meeting was attended by several members of the Customs and Taxes Merger Committee. They reviewed preliminary reports from the legal, financial, human resources, and document teams, along with an update from the technical team about the progress achieved in the first five days since the formation of the Merger teams at the Customs Authority.

Merghem highlighted the importance of following a correct methodology for the merger teams to realize the objectives of the merger process.

The merger committee and its teams expressed their commitment to diligently carry out their assigned tasks and prepare reports for the forthcoming meeting. They acknowledged that the scope and significance of the tasks within the Customs Authority might necessitate additional time to fulfill the responsibilities of the working groups.
