Sana'a: The National Center for Meteorology and Early Warning has forecasted scattered thunderstorms of varying intensity across several governorates during the next 24 hours.
According to Yemen News Agency, the weather bulletin issued by the center indicates that thunderstorms are expected over the Tihama Plain and the governorates of Taiz, Dhale'a, Ibb, Raymah, Mahweet, and Hodeida.
Scattered showers, accompanied by occasional thunder, are also anticipated in parts of the governorates of Aden, Lahj, Abyan, Shabwah, Hadramaut, Marib, Mahra, Bayda, Hajjah, and the western parts of Saada, Amran, Sana'a, and Dhamar.
Yesterday, rain of varying amounts fell over parts of the Tihama Plain, the western coast, and scattered areas of the western mountainous regions and the central highlands. The highest recorded rainfall was 24.0 mm at the Kadan station in Hodeidah governorate.
The center has issued warnings to citizens about the potential for thunderstorms, advising against staying in or crossing wadi beds during and after rainfall. There is also a caution against rockfalls and landslides, particularly on slopes and mountain roads.
Additionally, the center has warned of reduced visibility due to low-lying clouds or fog on roads and mountain slopes.
