Sana'a: The National Center of Meteorology and Early Warning has forecasted thunderstorm rainfall over several provinces within the next 24 hours.
OAccording to Yemen News Agency, the weather bulletin issued by the center predicts thunderstorm rainfall in parts of the governorates of Saada, Amran, Sana'a, Al-Mahwit, Hajjah, Raymah, Dhamar, Ibb, Taiz, and Al-Dhalea. Additionally, rainfall, sometimes accompanied by thunder, is expected in the highlands of Lahj, Abyan, Shabwah, and Hadramout.
The center has issued warnings to citizens about potential flash floods in ravines and valleys, advising the public to avoid being present in these areas or attempting to cross them during and after the rainfall. Citizens are also advised to steer clear of electricity poles, trees, and high places due to the risk of thunderstorms.
The warnings extend to the possibility of rockfalls, mudslides, and reduced horizontal visibility on roads and mountain slopes, attributed to rainfall and fog formation. The center has urged caution for those traveling in these conditions.
