Meteorological Predicts Thunderstorms and Hot Weather Across Governorates

Sana'a: The National Centre for Meteorology and Early Warning has forecasted varying and sporadic thunderstorms across several governorates, along with hot weather conditions in deserts, inland plateaus, plains, and coastal areas over the next 24 hours.

According to Yemen News Agency, the weather bulletin indicates that thunderstorms, ranging in intensity and accompanied by hail, are expected in the governorates of Dhamar, Ibb, Taiz, and Dhalea.

In addition to the thunderstorms, sporadic rains are anticipated in parts of Sa'ada, Amran, Sana'a, Mahwit, Raymah, Bayda, Al Mahra, Socotra, and the southwestern coasts. The forecast suggests very hot conditions in parts of the deserts, inland plateaus, and coastal plains, while it will remain hot in some coastal areas.

The centre has issued warnings to citizens regarding the potential flow of torrents in the reefs and valleys on the mountainous heights. It advised residents to avoid crossing or being present in these areas during and after the rains, and to be cautious of thunderbolts, strong descending winds, and hail.

Additionally, the centre cautioned about low horizontal visibility due to rain and fog on roads and mountain slopes. It also advised against direct exposure to sunlight in deserts and coastal plains during the afternoon.
