Sana'a: The National Center for Meteorology and Early Warning has predicted a spell of cold to very cold weather across several governorates and highlands, with the possibility of frost forming in some areas over the next 24 hours.
According to Yemen News Agency, the weather bulletin issued by the Center details that nighttime and early morning temperatures are expected to drop significantly in the governorates of Sa'ada, Al-Jawf, Amran, Sana'a, Dhamar, and Al-Bayda. Similarly, the highlands of Ibb, Al-Dhalea, Lahj, Abyan, Marib, Shabwa, Hadramout, and Al-Mahra are also expected to experience cold to very cold conditions, with frost formation possible in certain parts.
In addition to these regions, the highlands of Hajjah, Al-Mahwit, Raymah, Taiz, and Al-Mahra may also encounter cold weather. The Center has issued warnings to residents about the cold and very cold conditions, especially advising vulnerable groups such as the elderly, children, and those who are unwell, as well as workers who are exposed to the weather during nighttime and early morning hours.
The Center has also advised farmers to implement protective measures for their crops to prevent damage from the cold. Livestock herders, beekeepers, and poultry breeders are similarly encouraged to ensure their animals are sheltered in warm environments to safeguard them during this cold spell.
