Sana'a: The National Center for Meteorology and Early Warning has predicted that scattered thunderstorms, of varying intensity, will continue to affect parts of several governorates over the next 24 hours.
According to Yemen News Agency, the weather bulletin issued by the center indicates that moderate to heavy rainfall, accompanied by thunderstorms, is expected in parts of Taiz, Ibb, Dhale'a, Dhamar, Raymah, Sana'a, Mahweet, the Tihama Plain, and the highlands of Lahj and Abyan.
Light to moderate showers, with occasional thunderstorms, are also possible in parts of Saada, Amran, Hajjah, Bayda, Shabwah, and Hadramawt governorates, as well as along the western, southern, and eastern coasts and adjacent inland areas. During the past 24 hours, rainfall of varying intensity, some of it heavy, fell on the governorates of Amran, Hajjah, western Sana'a, Mahweet, Dhamar, Raymah, Ibb, Taiz, Dhale'a, Bayda, Abyan, Lahj, Shabwah, and Hadramawt.
The center warned citizens against staying in wadi beds and flood channels and advised them to be cautious of thunderstorms, soil erosion, landslides, and reduced visibility on roads and in mountainous areas due to heavy cloud cover, rain, and potential fog or mist. It also recommended that people take safety precautions to protect themselves from thunderstorms and stay away from unstable slopes. Source: Yemen News Agency
