Sana'a: The National Center for Meteorology and Early Warning expects continued scattered thunderstorms across several governorates over the next 24 hours. The center stated in its weather bulletin that rainfall of varying intensity, accompanied by thunderstorms and occasional hail, is expected to fall on parts of the governorates of Dhale'a, Taiz, Ibb, Dhamar, Raymah, Amran, and Mahwit, as well as the highlands of Lahj, Abyan, and Shabwah. It may also include the western coasts and the Tihama plain.
According to Yemen News Agency, scattered rain, sometimes accompanied by thunder, may fall on parts of Mahrah, Hadhramaut, Bayda, Hajjah, and the western governorates of Sana'a and Saada, as well as parts of the eastern and southern coasts and adjacent inland areas.
The center warned citizens to avoid valleys and floodplains, and to avoid thunderstorms, soil erosion, rockfalls, and reduced visibility on roads and mountainous areas due to rainfall, fog, or water mist. It called on citizens to take the necessary measures to protect themselves from thunderstorms and to avoid unstable slopes.
