Meteorology Forecasts Continued Rainfall and Thunderstorms Across Multiple Governorates

Sana'a: The National Center for Meteorology and Early Warning anticipates ongoing rainfall of varying intensity, accompanied by thunderstorms, throughout several governorates over the next 24 hours.

According to Yemen News Agency, the center's weather bulletin highlights that rainfall, accompanied by thunderstorms and occasional hail, is expected in parts of the governorates of Sana'a, Amran, Saada, Dhamar, Hajjah, Mahwit, Raymah, Ibb, Taiz, Bayda, Dhale'a, and Lahj.

Rain is also forecasted for the deserts and plateaus of the governorates of Al Mahrah, Hadramaut, Shabwah, Abyan, Ma'rib, and Jawf. Additionally, the Tihama plain, the western, southern, and eastern coasts, and adjacent inland areas are expected to experience rainfall.

Yesterday, thunderstorms of varying intensity occurred in parts of the mountainous highlands, coastal areas, the Tihama plain, the inland plateaus, and the deserts. The center has issued warnings to citizens about the potential dangers of thunderstorms, including crossing or entering floodwaters during and after rainfall, strong downdrafts, hail, soil erosion, rockfalls, and reduced visibility on roads and mountain slopes. It advises citizens to take necessary precautions against thunderstorms and to avoid unstable slopes.
