Sana'a: The National Center of Meteorology and Early Warning has forecast strong winds causing rough seas, and scattered rainfall over parts of several governorates during the next 24 hours.
According to Yemen News Agency, the weather bulletin issued by the center indicates that active to strong winds are expected to blow over the southern and eastern coasts, around the Socotra Archipelago, and the Gulf of Aden, with speeds ranging between 25 and 45 knots.
Scattered rainfall, which may be accompanied by thunderstorms at times, is also likely over parts of the governorates of Taiz, Al-Dhalea, Ibb, Dhamar, Raymah, Hajjah, Al-Mahwit, and the western parts of Sana'a, Amran, and Saada, as well as the highlands of Lahj and Abyan.
The center warned sea-goers, fishermen, and ship captains around the Socotra Archipelago and in the Gulf of Aden of rough seas and high waves, and advised avoiding swimming in undesignated areas and following the instructions of the Coast Guard Authority.
The center also warned citizens in areas expected to receive rainfall of flash floods in valleys and watercourses and against being present in their paths.
