Meteorology Forecasts Thunderstorms Across Multiple Governorates

General

Sana'a: The National Center of Meteorology and Early Warning has forecasted varying and scattered thunderstorms over several governorates in the next 24 hours.

According to Yemen News Agency, the weather bulletin anticipates thunderstorms of varying intensity across the governorates of Al-Mahrah, Hadramout, Shabwah, and the highlands of Lahj and Abyan, as well as Al-Bayda, Al-Dhalea, Taiz, Ibb, Dhamar, and Saada.

Scattered rain, occasionally accompanied by thunder, is also expected over parts of Sana'a, Amran, Al-Mahwit, Hajjah, and Raymah. These conditions are likely to extend to the plateaus and deserts of Marib and Al-Jawf governorates.

The center has issued warnings to residents in these areas about the potential for flash floods in valleys and ravines, advising them to avoid being present in or crossing these areas during and after the rainfall. Drivers are also cautioned about low horizontal visibility due to low clouds or fog on roads and mountain slopes, and are advised against crossing ground bridges during flood flows.
