Sana'a: The National Center of Meteorology and Early Warning has predicted varying and scattered thunderstorms across several governorates over the next 24 hours.
According to Yemen News Agency, the weather bulletin from the center indicates that thunderstorms of varying intensity are expected in the governorates of Dhamar, Ibb, Taiz, Al-Dhalea, Al-Bayda, and the highlands of Lahj, Abyan, Shabwah, and the plateaus of Hadramout and Al-Mahrah.
Scattered rains accompanied by occasional thunder are anticipated in parts of the governorates of Sana'a, Amran, Hajjah, Al-Mahwit, Raymah, and areas along the eastern and southern coasts, as well as adjacent inland areas.
The center has issued warnings to citizens about potential flash floods in ravines and valleys, advising against being in or crossing these areas during and after rainfall. It also cautioned against being near electric poles and tall trees due to thunderstorms.
Further warnings were issued about the risk of rockfalls, mudslides, and reduced horizontal visibility on roads and mountain slopes as a result of rainfall and fog formation.
