Meteorology Forecasts Variable Rainfall in Next 24 Hours

Sana'a: The National Center of Meteorology and Early Warning has forecast rainfall of varying intensity and scattered showers over parts of several governorates, along with hot weather in desert, plain, and coastal areas during the next 24 hours.

According to Yemen News Agency, the weather bulletin issued by the center predicts rainfall of varying intensity accompanied at times by thunderstorms over the governorates of Taiz, Ibb, Al-Dhalea, Dhamar, Raymah, Al-Mahwit, and Hajjah.

Scattered rainfall may also occur over limited areas of Al-Bayda, Sana'a, Amran, Saada, the highlands of Lahj, Abyan, and Shabwa, as well as parts of the Tihama Plain.

The weather is likely to be hot to extremely hot in deserts, plains, coastal areas, and inland plateaus.

The center warned citizens in mountainous areas expected to receive rainfall of flash floods in valleys and watercourses, and against being present in or crossing their paths during and after rainfall.

The center also warned citizens in deserts, plains, coastal areas, and inland plateaus of hot and extremely hot weather, and advised avoiding direct exposure to sunlight during midday and increasing fluid intake.
