Sana'a: The National Center for Meteorology and Early Warning anticipates hot to very hot weather conditions in the deserts, plains, and coastal regions, coupled with varying intensities of rain across several governorates over the coming 24 hours.
According to Yemen News Agency, the center's weather bulletin indicates that the deserts and coastal plains will experience hot to very hot and dry weather, with maximum temperatures expected to range between 39 and 46 degrees Celsius. In contrast, coastal areas will see hot and humid conditions, with temperatures between 35 and 38 degrees Celsius.
Rainfall of varying intensity, occasionally accompanied by thunder, is forecasted in the governorates of Ibb, Taiz, Dhale'a, and the highlands of Lahj. Scattered rain is also expected in parts of Saada, Amran, Hajjah, Mahwit, Raymah, and Dhamar. The meteorological stations in Ibb recorded 3.6 mm of rainfall over the past 24 hours.
The center has issued warnings to citizens in desert and coastal areas about the extreme heat. People are advised to avoid direct sunlight during the afternoon and to stay hydrated by drinking plenty of fluids. Additionally, precautions are advised during thunderstorms and residents are urged to avoid entering or crossing floodwaters during and after rainfall.
