Meteorology Predicts Scattered Rainfall Across Several Governorates

Sana'a: The National Center of Meteorology and Early Warning has forecasted rainfall of varying intensity across multiple governorates in the coming 24 hours.

According to Yemen News Agency, the weather bulletin issued by the center anticipates rainfall accompanied by thunder in scattered areas, including the governorates of Saada, Hajjah, Al Mahwit, Amran, Sana'a, Raymah, Dhamar, Ibb, Taiz, and eastern Al Hodeida. Additional rainfall is expected over parts of the Tihama plain and the highlands of the governorates of Al Dhale, Lahj, Al Bayda, and the western parts of Marib and Al Jawf.

The center has cautioned residents about the potential for flash floods in valleys and ravines, advising against being in such areas or attempting to cross them during and after the rainfall. It has also advised against proximity to electrical poles, certain locations, and tall trees during thunderstorms.

Further warnings have been issued regarding the possibility of rockfalls, landslides, and reduced horizontal visibility on roads and mountainous slopes due to rainfall and fog formation.
