Sana’a: The National Center of Meteorology and Early Warning has forecast varying and scattered thunderstorms over several governorates during the next 24 hours.
According to Yemen News Agency, the weather bulletin issued by the center indicates that thunderstorms of varying intensity are expected across the governorates of Dhamar, Ibb, Taiz, Al-Dhalea, Al-Bayda, and the highlands of Lahj, Abyan, Shabwah, as well as the plateaus of Hadramout and Al-Mahrah.
Scattered rains accompanied by occasional thunder are expected in parts of the governorates of Sana’a, Amran, Hajjah, Al-Mahwit, Raymah, and parts of the eastern and southern coasts, along with the inland areas adjacent to them. The center has issued warnings to citizens regarding the potential for flash floods in ravines and valleys, advising against being present in their paths or crossing them during and after rainfall.
The center also cautioned about the dangers of thunderstorms, advising the public to stay away from electric poles and tall trees. Additionally, warnings were issued about rockfalls, mudslides, and reduced horizontal visibility on roads and mountain slopes due to rainfall and the formation of fog.
