Sana'a: The National Center for Meteorology and Early Warning has announced forecasts of scattered thunderstorms and cold weather conditions across various governorates over the next 24 hours.
According to Yemen News Agency, the weather bulletin specifies that thunderstorms of varying intensity are anticipated in parts of the governorates of Lahj, Al-Dhale'a, Taiz, Ibb, Raymah, Hajjah, Mahwit, the western coast, and the Tihama plain.
Scattered rain, occasionally accompanied by thunder, is expected in the west of Dhamar, Sana'a, Amran, and Saada. Additionally, rain is likely on parts of the highlands of Abyan, Shabwah, Hadramaut, and Al Mahrah, as well as along the southern and eastern coasts and adjacent inland areas.
The forecast also indicates that the weather will be relatively cold to cold in the highlands of Al Bayda, Dhamar, Sana'a, Amran, and Sa'dah. Minimum temperatures in these regions are anticipated to range between 3 and 9 degrees Celsius.
The center has issued warnings advising citizens to avoid valleys and floodplains, and to exercise caution during thunderstorms and in conditions of poor visibility on roads and mountainous areas due to low clouds and the formation of fog or water mist. The advisory also cautions the elderly, children, and workers in the aforementioned mountainous areas to be wary of the relatively cold weather during evening and morning hours.
